Serta Simmons Organic Baby Mattress Class Action
Investigating a class action on behalf of individuals who purchased Serta Simmons Organic Baby Mattresses. It is alleged that Simmons promotes certain baby mattresses as organic certified. Simmons promotes these mattresses with the Global Organic Textile Standard ("GOTS") logo, an independent certification process. It is alleged that Simmons is not authorized to use the GOTS logo on these mattresses because these mattresses contain polyurethane foam. Certified organic mattresses must be manufactured with natural latex rubber foam derived from latex certified according to a program that verifies compliance with sustainable forestry management principles.
