University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Oncology Treatment Overcharge Class Action Investigation
Investigating a class action on behalf of individuals who were patients at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) for allegedly systemically overbilling for chemotherapy drugs and services. It is alleged that UPMC changed its billing practices in violation of its contracts insurers by charging for oncology treatments at rates reserved for outpatient hospital services rather than at rates associated with treatments by an individual physician’s practice.
